|In the late 1800s, the Climax Locomotive Works paved the way for geared locomotive development with innovative designs and improvements to existing technology. One such offering was the 28-Ton Two Truck Climax. With a horizontal boiler, this version of the Class B Climax offered more power and efficiency than its T-boiler predecessors. The successful 28-Tonner was produced until 1904 and continued in scattered service into the early 1950s. Bachmann is pleased to add the On30 Two Truck Climax to their award-winning roster of geared locomotives.|
